SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2)

SSC CHSL recruits 12th-pass candidates for Lower Division Clerk / Junior Secretariat Assistant, Data Entry Operator and Postal/Sorting Assistant posts. Selection is a computer-based Tier I (qualifying) followed by a Tier II that includes an objective section, a module-based section and, where applicable, a skill/typing test.

SSC CHSL exam pattern

Tier I: 0.50 per wrong answer. Tier II: 1.00 per wrong answer (0.25 in the Computer module).

What is the SSC CHSL exam pattern?+

Tier I is a 60-minute computer-based test of 100 questions for 200 marks across General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English (25 each). Tier II is the merit-deciding stage with Mathematical Abilities & Reasoning, English & General Awareness and a Computer Knowledge module, plus a skill/typing test for relevant posts.

Is there negative marking in SSC CHSL?+

Yes. Tier I deducts 0.50 per wrong answer; Tier II deducts 1 mark per wrong answer (0.25 in the Computer Knowledge module).
